Sensory Analysis 7/14

$30 per person (+tax)

Grab your family and friends and join us for a our Sensory Analysis class in the Hickory Room at Wolf’s Ridge on Sunday, July 14th from 1 to 3 pm.

Ever tried a beer that tasted buttery? How about papery or vinegary? These flavors and many more (before, during, and after the brewing process), can overtake beer in an unsavory way. This class presents an examination of what happens when an unwanted off-flavor creeps into the beer we love. Students will be introduced to three of the most common off flavors found in beer in this class: Oxidation, Diacetyl, and Lightstruck. Along with a scientific look at how both flavors infect beer, WRB will also provide samples of purposefully spiked beer to train students on identifying their taste and smell.

Questions and discussion will be encouraged, and all guests will get a complimentary pint of beer at the end of class from our 20-beer draft list!
