Ever wonder why a beer can be as pale as straw or as black as ink? How about why certain styles favor bitter, citrusy flavors, and others have more sweet notes like a dessert? Please join us in the Hickory Room at Wolf’s Ridge on Sunday, November 11th from 12:00pm to 2:00 pm for a very special class all about beer; from its long history and how we brew it, right down to how we drink and evaluate it's flavors and aromas.
This private class will begin with an overview of how beer is made, and a brief history of WRB. Following the tour, our head of quality control will guide guests through in-depth training on how to evaluate a beer's appearance, smell, mouthfeel and taste. Raw ingredients and 5 oz. beer samples of a few classic styles will be provided as hands-on tools for this sensory portion of the class. Class will conclude with a tour of our brewery!
Questions and open discussion will be encouraged! The class will conclude at 2 in our Taproom with a complimentary pint from our 20-beer draft list.
