$30 per person, limited to 25 spots. The Sour Symposium will be hosted in our events space, The Hickory Room on March 3rd from 2p-4p!
Have you ever wondered what makes a beer taste sour? Why certain beer styles are considered sour, or wild beers? Not all sour beers are created the same, nor do they all taste the same. Please join us for a very special class that dives into the large umbrella of sour beer styles! We will look at their origins and history, as well as classic and modern brewing methods used to create sour beer. This class includes a guided tasting of 5 taster portion samples of sour beer styles.
The sample lineup includes:
Litany Against Fear (Lichtenhainer)
Cherry Red Legacy (Flander's-style sour red ale)
Terre du Sauvage Gold (Barrel-aged farmhouse sour)
Rodenbach Grand Cru (guest beer)
Boon Marriage Parfait (guest beer)
The symposium will conclude a tour of The Mangrove, our ever expanding sour program, and a complimentary beer!
