Early Bird Party 9/30

SOLD OUT

$50 per/ticket +tax, sale begins 12 pm on 9/8: Find tickets

WRB will be hosting a special early bird party for our biggest beer enthusiasts that want to skip the line and guarantee themselves a full allotment from our 4-year anniversary bottle sale. While the release party will be going on all day, the early bird ticket will allow 75 guests early-entry to our taproom, where they can enjoy the space, drink great beer, eat breakfast and purchase their bottles before the general public. The early bird portion of the bottle sale will take place in the tap room between the hours of 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM, and the price of the $50 ticket includes several items:

-A flight of 5 beers from our 20-beer draft list (including many specialty barrel-aged beers)

-A breakfast sandwich and side prepared by our kitchen

-Unlimited One Line coffee

-12 oz. bottle of an exclusive mystery beer

-A guaranteed full allotment for the following special bottles:

  • All the Breakfast
  • Canis Mexicanus Double Espresso
  • Bourbon Barrel Dire Wolf
  • Bourbon Barrel Coffee Joy
  • Bourbon Barrel Yub Nub
  • Bourbon Barrel Pi
  • Bourbon Barrel Dave Doesn't Know

Our head brewer will be filling 12 oz bottles of a specialty WRB draft that has never been bottled before. We will only bottle enough of this beer to provide complimentary 12 oz bottles to early bird ticket holders. Every guest with an early bird ticket will not only be guaranteed a full allotment from the general bottle sale, but also this limited bottled infusion straight from the tap!

While early bird ticket holders will select and pay for their bottles during the pre-sale party in the tap room, they will pick them up in our large adjacent side room. This means guests looking to stick around and enjoy beers longer don't have to tow around their bottles, but instead have the option to wait and pick them up when they're ready to go!

Only 75 tickets will be available for this early access party. Tickets will go on sale at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 8th so be ready! We are utilizing eventbrite for the ticket sale, and links to the live ticket page are posted both on this event page (under “ticket” section), and the event page on our website. Guests will be allowed to buy only a total of two tickets at a time. 1 ticket per person-no guests without a ticket will be admitted to the tap room at 9:00 AM.

Cheers!

Wolf's Ridge will be celebrating our 4 year anniversary with a blow out party and large bottle release featuring several barrel-aged beers! The party will be so large that we can’t just host it in the tap room….To make space for everyone, we will be opening up our adjacent side room with drafts, communal tables and high tops. The public bottle sale will also be taking place in the other side, rather than the tap room.

Special Bottles Available (more may be announced closer to the release):

There will be a record number of 45 draft beers spread between theother side and the tap room throughout day, with the option to easily move about both spaces by walking through our downstairs brewery. Our tap room kitchen will be preparing a special food menu for the day, opening for public service at 11:00 am.

Public bottle sale: The doors to the other side (accessed through the same N. 4th street entrance as the restaurant) will open at 10:00 AM for drafts, with the bottle sale beginning at 11:00 AM. As always, the sale will be first come, first serve. The earlier you arrive, the sooner you can anticipate your ability to purchase bottles. If you arrive at 11:00 AM or later, please expect the likelihood that your access to bottles won’t begin until around 1:00 pm or later (as there are guests who begin lining up outside earlier in the morning). We try our hardest to sell bottles as quickly and efficiently as possible, but understand that these large releases with barrel aged specialty beer usually have people lining up 1-2 hours before doors open!

Upon entering the other side, you will receive a numbered ticket with a time stamp on it, which is when you can anticipate your ability to buy bottles. We will sell bottles to groups of 20 guests every 20 minutes. So, tickets 1-20 at 11:00 am, 21-41 at 11:20, 42-62 at 11:40 etc...Please find a staff member if you have any questions regarding this during the party. Announcements will be made when each time stamp/group of 20 may purchase bottles. While you wait for you group’s turn, feel free to check out the tap room, eat some grub, wander around the brewery and sample from our largest draft list to date!

Beer 101 Class 11/11

Ever wonder why a beer can be as pale as straw or as black as ink?  How about why certain styles favor bitter, citrusy flavors, and others have more sweet notes like a dessert? Please join us at the Wolf's Ridge Brewing tap room on Saturday,  November 11th from 10:00 to 12:00 for a very special class all about beer; from its long history and how we brew it, right down to how we drink and evaluate it's flavors and aromas.

This private class will begin with a tour of our brewery, an overview of how beer is made, and a brief history of WRB.  Following the tour, our head of quality control will guide guests through in-depth training on how to evaluate a beer's appearance, smell, mouthfeel and taste. Raw ingredients and 5 oz. beer samples of a few classic styles will be provided as hands-on tools for this sensory portion of the class.

Sensory Analysis Class 12/30

Our head of quality control is now making our employee education classes at WRB open to the public!  All beer lovers and aficionados looking to expand their knowledge will receive first hand tutelage on smelling, tasting and experiencing beer with acceptable and unacceptable qualities.

This class presents an examination of what happens when an unwanted off-flavor creeps in to the beer we love.  Ever tried a beer that tasted buttery?  How about papery or vinegary? These flavors and many more (before, during, and after the brew process), can overtake beer in an unsavory way.  Students will be introduced to three specific off-flavors in this class:  Acetic Acid, Metallic and Lightstruck.  Along with an in-depth scientific look at how both flavors infect beer, WRB will also provide samples of purposefully spiked beer to train students on identifying their taste and smell.

Questions and discussion will be encouraged, and all guests will get a complimentary pint of beer at the end of class! We will have 25 spots open for this class-please click here to purchase tickets!

Wild Heritage Series Bottle Release #3

Wild Heritage Series Bottle Release #3

We told you it was going to be a summer for sours, Columbus, and we're keeping that promise with 2 new entries into our Wild Heritage Series: Terre du Sauvage Green and Terre du Sauvage Red!

Terre du Sauvage Green, Batch #1:

A new take on our traditional farmhouse saison. The grain bill was modeled after L'Abondance but fermented with brett and saison yeast and aged in second-use bourbon barrels. Terre du Sauvage Green was blended with Terre du Sauvage Gold barrels for acidity, and dry hopped with Ekuanot. This beer is the balanced, bright and refreshing-we'd like to think it's a gateway brew for people who think they don't enjoy wild, "sour" beers!

Terre du Sauvage Red, Batch #1:

This version of our farmhouse saison was brewed with 40% rye. We fermented it with brett, lacto, and hefe yeast, and then aged it in bourbon barrels for 16 months.

Both of these beers, along with a special Dire Wolf variant, will be available in 22 oz bombers out of our tap room during this all-day release party. Doors open at 10:00 am for brews and food, and the sale starts at 11:00 am (first come, first serve as always). Expect a unique draft list with new brews and special casks! Think you don't like sours?? Stop by during the party to try some our our traditional, wild beers on draft and find out!

Stay tuned for more details, sour heads!

Expect a killer draft list with 20 taps and a few special casks, as well as a full food menu! Doors will open at 10:00 am, and the sale will begin at 11:00 am first come, first serve.

Ohio Trifecta: Collaboration Beer Party 5/17!

The three great cities of Ohio have joined together to bring Columbus an epic collaboration beer! We'll have an inaugural tapping party for War Mug in the WRB tap room on Wednesday of CCBW. Reps from each brewery will be present, and we'll also tap additional special brews from Market Garden and Urban Artifact. Currently our confrimed guests drafts from Urban Artifact include:

Finn - Berliner Weisse

*Sold Out-One Line Coffee and Beer Pairing Event 5/7!

We're collaborating with our longtime friends at One Line for a special coffee, beer and food pairing event.  Guests will enjoy 5 different "courses", each featuring a different WRB brew that's been infused with whole coffee beans, a sample pour of that same coffee, and a small bite from our kitchen.

Member's from the One Line team and our head brewer will be on site to walk through each pairing, detailing why roasts were selected to be infused with each beer.  Rather than infuse darker beers like our imperial stout with coffee, this event will feature 5 lighter beers infused with 5 lighter roast coffees.

The first course will kick off at 10:00am, and we plan to wrap up right at 12:00pm. At the end of the event, all guests will be sent home with a sample 6-pack including bottles of each of the 5 infusions and our best-seller, Clear Sky Daybreak!  Tickets will be $35 per person, and can be found here!
